ISE runs an academic bursary scheme for less-privileged and gifted Muslim students from Eggonland. The ISE scholarship was introduced in 2015, and already several students have benefited from it. The monetary award is given to University, Polytechnic, and Monotechnic students studying in Nigeria and internationally. The beneficiaries of this scheme are categorized as follows:

Merit Applicants: Beneficiaries in this category are chosen based on excellent performance on paper and in interviews. This bursary is for commendable and distinguished applicants who secured admission with good O level results and performed well in the scholarship interview.
Less Privileged Applicants: Beneficiaries under this category are applicants from extremely poor backgrounds who have been admitted into higher institutions. The applicant is expected to have obtained admission and have good O level results.
Special Females Offer: ISE offers an automatic scholarship to female candidates for MBBS (medicine) in any University. ISE gives scholarship preference to female candidates who meet the admission requirements for nursing or midwifery.
Higher Islam Applicants: ISE has a bias towards awarding bursaries to applicants who have been admitted into the School of Higher Islamic Studies. Applicants of Eggon background given admission shall be automatically considered.
Methods of Application:
- All applicants MUST express interest by filling out the ISE scholarship form online.
- Applicants are required to submit the completed ISE scholarship form along with their admission letter(s), school fees status or payment receipt, indigene certificate, and one recent passport photograph.

2023/2024 Islamic Society of Eggonland (ISE) Scholarship Application Form (ID #1832) Preview

Important Instructions:

Applicants must complete and submit this form online.
Applicants must print and submit a completed scholarship form along with the following documents: admission letter, tuition fees receipt, and birth certificate or age declaration.
Applicants must obtain and submit an attestation/declaration letter from their department, confirming their enrollment in the institution and department.
For update applications, candidates must reapply and submit on or before October 10, 2019. New applicants must apply and submit on or before October 31, 2019.
Please return the hard copy of the printed application form and other documents to Umar Abdullahi Galle at the Islamic Society of Eggonland office: No 4, Amra Plaza, Aren Eggon's Palace Road, Nassarawa Eggon, Nasarawa State, Nigeria.

ELIGIBILITY, TERMS, AND CONDITIONS

Applicants MUST be Muslim and hail from the Eggon community.
The award is available for regular students ONLY.
The scholarship is meant to offset tuition fees ONLY.
Scholarship holders, upon acceptance, agree to allow the ISE to use their name and academic profile for promotional activities when necessary.
ISE Scholars must submit a progress report duly signed by their department or faculty at the end of the academic session.
If an awardee withdraws from school after receiving the scholarship, ISE reserves the right to terminate the award immediately.
Scholarships are awarded at the discretion of the ISE's award committee, and no legal action can be taken against ISE for refusal, denial, suspension, or termination of scholarships.
Any properly filled or submitted application will NOT be considered.
